LOUISBURG- Roger Phillip Knox, 77, of Claymont Road, died Monday, December 8, 2025 at ECU Medical Health. Born July 1, 1948 in Pitt County, he was the son of the late James Wiley Knox, Sr. and Nannie Lee Tripp Knox and was the widower of Bonnie Goforth Knox.
Roger was a Veteran of the United States Army. He also was a member of Grace Assembly of God in Wake Forest, and enjoyed playing and singing Gospel and Bluegrass music.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Grace Assembly of God in Wake Forest by Rev. John Thrift.
Roger is survived by three sons, Michael Knox (Allison) of Winterville, Rogert P. Knox, Jr. (Mindy) of Morehead City and Caleb Knox of Louisburg; his brother, Troy Knox (Sue) of Florida; and two grandchildren, Amber Knox and James Knox.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lee Knox; and three brothers, James Knox, Mark Knox and Dennis Knox.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Grace Assembly of God, 2405 Wait Avenue, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
