William Dee "Billy" Stevenson, Sr.

HENDERSON- William Dee “Billy” Stevenson, Sr., 75, of Daniel Harris Road, died Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at his home. Born April 4, 1950 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Helen Jane Faulkner Stevenson and Debrow Augusta Stevenson. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era and was a self-employed carpenter. Billy attended Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and listening to classic country music; but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 9, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Allen Ayscue. Burial will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery in Nashville.

Billy is survived by his wife, Felisa Dawn “Lisa” Bissette Stevenson of the home; three sons, William D. Stevenson, Jr. (Wendy), Jonathan D. Stevenson (Elizabeth) and Austin F. Stevenson (Tori), all of Henderson; three daughters, Kimberly Harris (Jeff), Crystal Matthews (Allen) and Ashley Hobgood (Eric), all of Henderson; 17 grandchildren, Eric Stevenson (Jessica), Merideth Stevenson, Caleb Stevenson, Jasmine Brennan, Dustin Howarth, Zachary Stevenson, Ryan Toone, Connor Harris, Breanna Harris, Hayden Harris, Logan Matthews, Kasey Matthews, Wayne Matthews, Erica Hobgood, Tyler Hobgood, Augusta Stevenson and Addelynn Stevenson; five great-grandchildren, Samuel Stevenson, Ryder Matthews, Riley Edmondson, Layla Edmondson and Harper Edmondson; a brother, Danny Stevenson of Henderson; and two sisters, Thelma Abbott (Tom) and Deborah Cornell, both of Henderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Stevenson Ranes; two brothers, Bruce Stevenson, Sr. and Eddie Stevenson, Sr.; two grandchildren, Hailey Toone and Christopher Harris; and a great-grandson, Robert Stevenson.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church on Monday beginning at 11:30 A.M. and at other times at the home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Stevenson, Caleb Stevenson, Dustin Howarth, Zachary Stevenson, Ryan Toone, Hayden Harris, Logan Matthews, Wayne Matthews and Connor Harris.
