Roger Kopp Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Jan. 27, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Kopp, a cherished husband, father, and friend who left us on January 16th, 2024. He lived a life rich in love, filled with a passion for family, the great outdoors, and the companionship of dogs.
Born on March 27th, 1957, Roger embraced every moment of his journey with a genuine and contagious enthusiasm for life. His love for his family was boundless, and his devotion to them was unwavering. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, laughter, and an enduring commitment to those he held dear. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Mary Ann, daughter Jenny and her wife Maggie, son Daniel and his wife Jordan, his grandson, 2 granddaughters, 4 nephews, 4 nieces, and 3 sister-in-laws.
One of Roger's greatest joys was found in the beauty of nature. A true outdoorsman, he reveled in the simplicity of a hike through the woods or mountains, the rustle of leaves in the wind, and the breathtaking vistas that surrounded him. Whether under the open sky or in the company of towering trees, he felt a profound connection to the world around him.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, Roger had a special place in his heart for our loyal canine companions. His bond with dogs was unparalleled, and their presence brought him immeasurable joy. Together, they shared countless adventures, forging memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
While we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, we also celebrate the life of Roger Kopp. His spirit will live on in the stories we share, the trails he blazed, and the love he so generously gave. May he find eternal peace surrounded by the beauty he held dear.
A memorial service to honor Roger Kopp will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Nixa General Baptist Church followed by a banquet service in the same location. The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held on Sunday April 14, 2024 at the Lake Springfield Boathouse. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Ozark Trails Council memorial fund, reflecting in memory of Roger Kopp's passion for Boy Scouts of America.
Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Roger Kopp.. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
