Roger Clark Lambert (1944-2025)
Husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend.
Married 56 years to Rita Caballero Lambert. Father to Bryan (wife Anna), grandfather to Elin, Maya and Hugo of Sweden.
Born November 1, 1944 in Midland, Texas to Clinton and Carolyn Sapp Lambert. Worked with his family in Yale, Okla at the Lambert Lumber Co. Graduated from Lindsay, Okla. High School where he resided with his beloved aunt and uncle Bruce and Ina Lambert and cousins Jan and Linda.
He worked in the oil and gas industry many years in pipeline construction operating heavy equipment and moving pipe throughout the US. He also worked for Mountain Bell Telephone in Deming, NM, and for Mustang Tractor in Houston, TX and retired after 24 years from the USPFO Purchasing and Contract division at Camp Mabry.
He served in the Army and in the Army band at Fort Benjamin Harris, Indiana during the Vietnam war era.
He is survived by his wife Rita and beloved son Bryan (Anna) and precious grandchildren, Elin, Maya and Hugo and five sisters-in-law and husbands and many nieces and nephews.
Roger will be remembered for his love of family and his many friends, for his wicked sense of humor and for his compassionate and encouraging nature.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, October 11 at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin TX.
