We are saddened to announce the passing of Roger Eugene Lee of Russell, Kansas. He died at the age of 64 on December 30, 2023, at the Redbud Village in Plainville, Kansas.
Roger was born on December 16, 1959, to Kenneth Lee and Helen (Tremblay) Lee Smith in Phillipsburg, Kansas. Roger grew up between the Logan and Damar area. He worked in the oil field most of his life and was smart about it. For many years he worked for Monty Karst.
He loved gardening and outside work. Roger was a great cook and will be remembered for his mashed potato recipe.
Roger is survived by his mother, Helen Smith of La Crosse, KS and step-father, Larry Smith of Plainville; son, Clint Lee (Sara Wallgren) of Plainville; two grandchildren, Jackson Bo Lee and Myleigh Elizabeth Rose Lee of Plainville; sisters, Patricia (Brandon) McDonald of Mankato, KS and Hope Smith of Norton, KS; step-brother, Marc Smith of Hays, KS; step-sisters, Terri Ann Steinle and Linda McCulloch, both of Russell; step-daughter, Kelly Fowler of Russell; and his three friends that were with him when he passed away, Kathleen Bieker, Melissa Collins and Terry Hinky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lee, brother, Keith Lee, common-law wife, Kathy Fuller and the mother of Roger's son, Ginger Adams.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Locust Grove Village, 701 W 6th Street in La Crosse, KS.
Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. 1st, Stockton, KS 67669.

Fast cars, skipping school then running into that teacher years later at the VFW once again, Roger wasn't impressed... I laughed confronted years later. I got that look. Memory of Roger all of them and Fondly I add.
