Pawtucket – Roger H. LeJeune, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille (Roy) LeJeune. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Alfred and Yvonne (Bessette) LeJeune.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Roger proudly served his country during the Korean War. He worked in maintenance at Diamond Dry Cleaners, Pawtucket, for over twenty years prior to retiring. Roger was mechanically talented and could fix, design, or build just about anything. He and his late wife enjoyed traveling and taking day trips throughout New England. Roger's family meant the world to him, and he cherished the time he was able to spend with them.
He is survived by a son, Mark D. LeJeune of Pawtucket; a daughter-in-law, Linda H. LeJeune of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Sidney Burns and her husband, Joseph, of Ashaway, Emily Kate LeJeune of Pawtucket and Veronica Rose Steinhaus and her husband, Drew, of Hawaii; three great-grandchildren, Chloe and Lily Burns and Samuel Steinhaus; two sisters-in-law, Viviane (Joyal) LeJeune of New Jersey and Elaine Coffey of Connecticut, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Roger "Pete" R. LeJeune, brother of the late Roland and Normand LeJeune and brother-in-law of the late Mary (Pontbriant) LeJeune.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Services on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment in the family plot at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Ave, Bristol, RI 02809 would be appreciated. TRIPPFUNERALHOME.com
