In Loving Memory of Roger Kelvin Lewis
Roger Kelvin Lewis, 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 25, 2026, on the houseboat he loved so dearly. Born on May 8, 1962, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Melvin Lewis and Christine M. Lewis, Roger lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys that meant the most to him.
Roger was a dedicated machinist for 37 years, and he was known for his strong work ethic. Outside of work, Roger felt most at home on the water. Lake Lanier was his happy place, whether he was fishing at sunset, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs (Go Dawgs), or simply enjoying the peace of the lake. Above all, Roger loved Jesus Christ, and his faith guided his life
Roger’s greatest pride and joy were his three daughters: Christine Rosales (William Rosales Jr.) Katy Holder (Kyle Holder II), and Kensie Yaun (Joseph Yaun). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Haven Jordan (10), Mila Rosales (6), Kyle Holder III (5), Oaklyn Holder (5), Emily Yaun (4), Elaina Yaun (4), and Maxwell Rosales (3). Nothing brought him more happiness than his family, and his love for them was constant and unwavering.
Roger will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of the outdoors, and the deep devotion he had to his family, his friends, and his faith. His presence on Lake Lanier, and in the hearts of those who knew him, will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 22, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at:
Sunrise Cove Marina Clubhouse 5725 Flat Creek Road Gainesville, GA 30504
