Roger Eugene Lilly, 82, of Rock, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital.
Born on September 25, 1942 at Flat Top, he was a son of the late Ernest and Ruth Lilly. He was a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ and was a retired Sergeant from the Bland Correctional Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Virginia Taylor Lilly and three brothers, Donald, Danny, and David Lilly.
Survivors include two sons Roger E. Lilly, Jr and wife Angie of Surveyor, West Virginia and Shawn T. Lilly of Montcalm, West Virginia; two grandsons, Jakeb and Nathan Lilly; brother, Dayton Lilly and wife Penny of Shady Springs, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Gary Lamie officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Princeton where Jakeb Lilly, Johnny Williams, Grant Blackburn, Aaron Taylor, Daren Lilly, and Wayne McKinney will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pine Grove Church of Christ at 664 Lorton Lick Road Bluefield, WV 24701.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
