Roger Loadholtz Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 12, 2023.
Roger Alexander Loadholtz,73, of Hastings, passed from this life unexpectedly on Saturday, July 1,2023 at his home in Hastings from natural causes. He was a native of Lake Butler, Florida. While a 4-H Club and FFA Chapter Member in Union County he raised and exhibited a State Champion Market Hog for the North Florida Fair in Tallahassee. He resided in Hastings since 1978 where he spent his days farming. Roger's passion from childhood through his adult life was growing tobacco and vegetables -cabbage, sweet corn and potatoes. If you wanted to find him all you did was look for a field with a cloud of dust and it would probably be him operating a tractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, muscle cars and most of all college football (Avid Gator Fan) passing his love and passion for these to his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Elise Loadholtz, brother, Donald Loadholtz, sister, Thelma Cooley and wife of 36 years, Kathy Loadholtz.
Roger is survived by his sons, Roger (Lauren), Allen (Tina), Martin" Scooter" (Marloe), Joseph (Sam), daughter, Christy Crump (Dean), brothers, Lowell (Dee), Shannon (Lee), sister, Harriet and grandchildren, Lindsey, Zachary, Dalton, Trenton, Levi and numerous nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Lowell Loadholtz officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 am until time of services.
Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at Roger's Book of Memories page at www.johnsonoverturffunerals.com.
Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
