Visitation for Roger “HOTROD” Lyons has been scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Tapp Funeral Home. Roger passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas.
Roger was born on July 28, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio to Herman and Viola (White) Lyons. He married Diane Marie Lyons August 7, 1971, in Dayton, Ohio.
Roger is survived by his daughter; Lisa Winchester and husband Robert of Sulphur Springs, Texas.; son, David Wood and wife Georgia; grandchildren: Gage Wood, Blake Wood, Katie Wood, Shawnee White, Britnee White, Herschel Winchester, Silvia (Travis) Sanders , James Anthony Winchester and Leia Winchester; and fifteen great grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his wife; his parents; a grandchild, Joseph Lee Winchester; brothers, Hurshel H. Lyons, Herman Lloyd Lyons and Virgil Lee Lyons Sr.
