Roger Matias Perez Jimenez Obituary
Roger Matias Perez Jimenez, 60, of Malden, Massachusetts, passed away on December 27, 2024. Born on July 15, 1964, in Jimani, Dominican Republic to his late father, Temistocles Perez-Jimenez and late mother, Gladys Maria Jimenez-Volquez both from Duvergé Dominican Republic.
He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law and a cherished friend to many.
Roger Matias Perez Jimenez, is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Michelle V. Perez; beautiful daughters, Elicia J. Perez and Naomi C. Perez, siblings; Temistocles "Frank" Perez and wife Catalina Perez, Lottys Perez, Ana Perez, Gladys Perez, Kenia Perez, Tehanys Valenzuela Perez and husband Carlos Manuel Valenzuela, Sior Perez, Denia Jimenez, Ramon Perez, Genys Perez and many nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his brother, Anselmo Perez.
Roger was a dedicated City of Somerville Firefighter, Engine Company #3 for 23 years and retired early in 2023 due to his battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, PSP. He enjoyed his job and took great pride in serving the community. He developed amazing relationships with fellow Firefighters, and would consider them "family".
Roger also known as "Patricio" was known for his love for photography, bike riding, dancing, watching movies, playing dominos and spending time with his friends and family. He was fun loving, friendly and enjoyed people. He also leaves behind a community of friends and family in the Dominican Republic who will greatly miss him.
He brought joy to everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed.
A Wake will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m at Eagle Heights Cathedral, 1075 Revere Beach Pkwy, Revere MA 02151. Family and friends are invited to come and pay their respects.
The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Eagle Heights Cathedral, 1075 Revere Beach Pkwy, Revere, MA 02151 service will be officiated by Bishop James E. Collins, and all are welcome to attend.
Interment will be at Forest Dale Cemetery 150 Forest St, Malden, MA 02148
