Roger D. Maw, 75, of Central, husband of the late Janice Hawkins Maw, passed away November 6, 2022.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Elmer Maw and Helen James Maw. Mr. Maw proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Mr. Maw loved to play piano and sing with family and friends. He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he was the music director for many years. Mr. Maw also enjoyed playing the game of golf. He owned and operated Maw’s Grocery and he worked at Koyo for many years.
Mr. Maw is survived by his sons, Roger Dale Maw Jr., Christopher Maw, and James Holcombe; daughters Karen Hughes, and Lyndia Sexton; brothers Jerry Maw and Jimmy Maw; sister Sandra Chapman; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife, Janice Hawkins Maw.
The service will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, SC. Burial will follow the service at Newry Cemetery, Seneca, SC.
