Roger Mayer Obituary
Roger E. Mayer, 78, of Yardley, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 after a quick battle of cancer.
He is survived by his wife at 52 years, Jean and their son, Roger and his wife Erin. He is also survived by his sister Jacqueline, and several nieces and nephews. Roger worked for the railroad for over 30 years until his retirement, no matter how late or how much he traveled with his job, he made sure he spent time with his family.
During his younger years, he was a scoutmaster and enjoyed spending time with his son. Roger loved taking care of his house, and always had some project in mind. He and Jean loved their "wine time" on the back porch that overlooked their property. He was a lover of his cats, more recently his 5 cats, plus several outdoor cats he cared for.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his celebration of life, which will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
