Roger Ray McIntyre, 69, of Redfield, SD, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield. Roger's funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Tulare United Church, with Pastor Rey Colón officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Tulare Cemetery. Lunch will be served afterward in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. A prayer service and time of sharing will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Derek Runge.

The prayer service and funeral will be live-streamed on the funeral home's website (www.hykefuneralhome.com). Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home.

Roger was born to Raymond and Ardyce (Arneson) McIntyre in Redfield on July 25, 1955. He grew up on the family farm Northwest of Tulare and graduated from Tulare High School in 1973. Following high school, he attended Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, graduating May 1975.

Roger married Helen Gerry on February 23, 1980. They lived in Huron and he worked as a farm machinery/diesel technician at several farm dealerships. In 1991, he and his family returned to work alongside his father on the farm, eventually taking over its operation.

Roger served on the Tulare Township Board and the Tulare United Church Board for many years. He also enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, NFL, motorcycles, music, concerts, family vacations, family pets, and spending time with grandchildren.

Roger is survived by his wife Helen, his sons Jason, Massillon, OH and Adam (Amanda), Grinnell, IA, his grandchildren Dillon and Ofelia, and his mother Ardyce and mother-in-law Cathy (Ronald) Gerry, his sister Shari (Darrell) Phillips, Aberdeen, SD, brother Eric (Kris) McIntyre, Andover, MN, and brother Michael (Cheryl) McIntyre, Jamestown, ND. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Steven (Sherri) Gerry, sister-in-law Brenda (Robert) Wagner, and sister-in-law Julie Watson and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Raymond and father-in-law Ronald.
