Roger’s life began on May 28, 1965, in Wichita. He was the son of Joseph Donald and Ellen Frances (Tune) McQuiston. Roger was united in marriage to Pamela Coats on October 25, 1997, at the Potwin United Methodist Church. He was a fence builder by trade and enjoyed helping friends with projects and going fishing. Roger is survived by his wife Pamela of Potwin; sons Brian McQuiston of Potwin and Charley McQuiston of Wichita; siblings Judy (James) Davis of Hinesville, AR, Danny (Terry) McQuiston of Clifty, AR, Jerry (Lisa) McQuiston of Clifty, AR, Terry ( Kevin) Tacker of Clifty, AR, and Mary McQuiston of Fayetteville, AR and several nieces and nephews. Roger passed away on Tuesday February 25, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Greyson McQuiston, a daughter Jennifer Stilley, a sister Debra Kiefer, and a brother Randy McQuiston. Roger’s family will gather with friends on Tuesday March 4, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at Lamb Funeral Home. His memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Potwin United Methodist Church. He will be laid to rest in McGill Cemetery at later date. Memorial contributions in Roger’s name may be directed to Potwin Parks and Recreation for the new recreation area in Potwin.
