BEDFORD – Roger Nelson Moore, 88, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born November 3, 1937, in Bloomington, he was the son of Arthur Moore and Gladys (Butcher) Springer. He married Linda Ann Little on June 19, 1960 and she preceded him in death October 13, 2012.

Roger was a 1955 graduate of Ben Davis High School and received an Associate's degree from Indiana Business College. Upon completion, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Okinawa and then the Marine Barracks in Great Lakes, Illinois. Roger traveled the world while working for Atlantic Richfield Company over 34 years. He was an avid golfer. Roger was a member of Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford, and as a preacher's kid, he had a strong faith in God.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Roger Moore, and daughter-in-law, Gina Otero, of Valencia, California.

His wife; parents; step-father, who raised him, Millard O. Springer; and siblings, Keith Moore, Rocky Springer, Jim Springer, Irene East, Betty Thomas, Barbara Cox, and Laura Springer, preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, at the Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Mark Fugate officiating. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
