Roger "Moose" A. Erickson

Roger “Moose” A. Erickson, age 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, with family by his side. 

Moose lived an interesting life. His phone conversations will be missed by his family and friends. Moose enjoyed working, playing, and living on the river. He especially enjoyed watching the river from his home. He graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1957. He was a lifelong member of Cedar Valley Lutheran Church and a 64 plus year member of the Operating Engineers Local #49.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Tim and Teresa (John) Stevens; step-son, Timothy (Mary) Braatz; grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Diaz and Mike (Sam); great grandchildren, Carly, Cassius, and Charlie; siblings, Lois Ladewig, Peter, and Paul (Jane); and brother-in-law, Martin Pflughoeft. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie K.; his parents; and several in-laws. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11am at Cedar Valley Lutheran Church (27076 Cedar Church Rd, Winona, MN) with visitation beginning at 10am. Moose will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
