Roger Roland Morel

Roger Roland Morel, 90, passed away peacefully at home on November 13th, 2025 in Mooresville, North Carolina. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Roger lived a long and meaningful life filled with devotion to family and a passion for golf.
After serving his country honorably as a Marine during the Korean War, he was married to his beloved wife Lorraine for 62 years, a partnership that was the foundation of his life and a source of enduring love and strength. Together they built a family that became Roger's greatest joy.
He will be remembered most for his deep love for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who were the joy of his life. Roger's warmth, wisdom, and steady presence created cherished memories across generations. His enthusiasm for golf brought him countless hours of enjoyment and camaraderie, a pastime that reflected his spirit of patience and perseverance.
Roger is survived by his sisters Cindy, Gail, Joan and brother Bruce. He is also survived by his children:
Glenn & Eleanor and their children, Christopher, and Katlin
Ken & Geneva, and their children, Sebastien, Chandler, Nicolas Christien, and Ava
David & Pam and their children Danielle, Jessica, Kelsey, Ian, and grandchildren Charlie, Maverick, Palmer, Ford, and Nila
Steve & Lori and their children Kyle and Stephanie
Funeral services will be held on December 18th, 2025, from 9:30–10:30 a.m. at Coastal Cremation and Funeral Care, 3833 5th Ave., Zephyrhills, FL 33542.
Burial service will follow at Florida National Cemetery from 11:30–12:00 p.m. Directly following the burial services family and close friends are gathering for lunch at Southport Springs Golf & Country Club Restaurant, 3509 Southport Springs Pkwy., Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
