Roger Lewis Nash, age 61, of Bryant, AL departed this life on November 20, 2024, after a courageous six-year battle with lung cancer. He leaves a legacy of love and creativity that will be cherished by all who knew him.
A funeral celebrating Roger's life will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM ET in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Brad Bridges officiating. The family will welcome friends for visitation at the funeral home from 12:00 PM ET until the beginning of the service.
Roger served honorably in the United States Coast Guard, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country. His passion for music was evident throughout his life; he was a very talented musician who played the guitar, wrote music, and even had his own recording studio. In addition to his musical talents, Roger had a keen interest in computers, which served as a favorite hobby for him.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Nash; his children, Jebb Carrier and Shay (Isaac) Hamby; his sister, Regina (Eddie) Richey, niece, Rebekah Richey; his grandchildren, Karli and Karter Hamby and his uncle Billy Ray Reeves. He is also remembered by his aunts and uncles, along with numerous extended family members and friends. Roger has now reunited with his late father, Billy L. Nash, in eternal rest.
Roger's spirit will continue to resonate through the music he created and the love he shared with those closest to him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
