Roger William Pippitt, 84, of Little Sioux, Iowa was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 27th, at Country House in Council Bluffs, Iowa with his family by his side. Roger was born December 12, 1940 in Little Sioux, the son of Harry Franklin and Vera Ruth (McCracken) Pippitt and was a 1960 graduate of Little Sioux High School. On April 19, 1968, he married Peggy Lee Vipond, at the First Christian Church in Onawa, IA. Together they had three children.

He attended Universal Trades School in Omaha, NE receiving a diploma in Automobile Mechanics on June 30, 1961. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1963 and was honorably discharged as an E6 Staff Sargent in 1969. When his father's health declined, he returned to the family farm in Little Sioux. He spent the rest of his life on that farm.

He had a servant's heart and always helped others in the community. He served on various boards including his church, Harrison County Farm Bureau, Iowa Pork Producers, West Harrison Community School and Harrison County Extension Council. Helping pass on the love of agriculture to the next generation, he served as a 4-H leader and helped with the Harrison County Fair.

Roger loved Jesus and was an active member of Wildwood Christian Church.

In retirement he enjoyed helping family with harvest, hauling grain for local farmers and cooperatives, and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

Roger was a hardworking, giving, loyal and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather attending every event he could.

Left to cherish his life and memories is his wife Peggy, their three children: Gayle (John Wageman) of Ankeny, IA, Andrea (Kenneth Perry) of Mondamin, IA and Greg (Jaren) Pippitt of Sunrise Beach, MO; 9 grandchildren: Brock (Clare) Wageman, Mackenzie Christensen, Trevor (Brianna) Perry, Hanna Wageman, Jeffery (Emily) Perry, Keegan Pippitt, Pierce Johnson, Paige Perry, Wyatt Pippitt; and 2 great-grandchildren: Tatum Perry and Charlotte Perry; and his sister Marian Melick and several nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Pippitt and Rex Pippitt; sisters, Betty Sprague and Phyllis Hornibrook.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 01, 2025. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
