Roger L. Rice, 85, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully at home on September 20. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Born with a strong sense of duty, Roger served his country in the United States Army during The Korean War. He later worked over 20 years at Richard Wilcox in Aurora and later at Home Depot, while also volunteering with the Kendall County Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels.

On March 7, 2008, Roger married his loving wife, Jean, and together they built a life filled with love and companionship in Montgomery. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

A diehard Green Bay Packers fan, Roger cheered on his team with great passion throughout his life. Above all, he treasured time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Jean; his three daughters, Victoria (Bill) Taylor, Veronica (Don) Kerpan, and Jennifer Rice; Jean's four daughters, Lora Arend, Julie (David) Gottlieb, Kerilyn Benjamin, and Sally (Roger) Campbell; as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Valerie Rice, and his parents, Ruth and Clifford Rice.

Roger's kindness, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Celebration for Rogers Life will be held Thursday September 25, 2025 from 3pm until time of service at 6pm at Dieterle Memorial home 1120 S. Broadway in Montgomery .
