Roger L. Schroer

Roger L. Schroer, of Owatonna, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Benedictine Living Community surrounded by his loving family.

Roger was born on May 27, 1943, in Austin, Minnesota, to Laurence and Margaret (Stoltman) Schroer. On October 2, 1976, Roger married Patti Clausen. Together, they made their home in Owatonna.

Roger worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Yule Transport. Later, he continued working at Trinity Lutheran Church and local schools. He was a member of the American Legion.

Roger enjoyed spending time with his family and relaxing in his backyard.

He is survived by his wife, Patti; children Matthew (Ann) Schroer, Noelle (Terry) Huether, Tammi (Eric) Veach, and Andy (Becky Waller) Schroer; grandchildren Hannah, Jenna, Isaiah (Juliana), Alexa, Ava, Corina (Ricarte) Rivera, Morgan (Kathryn) Huether, William (Caitlin) Veach, Brody (Elena) Veach, Grace, Kooper, Ella, Belle, and Sydney; three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Ruhi, and Tucker; and sisters Kathy (Jim) Pantier and Mary Jo Pramann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, McKayla Schroer, one brother, and two sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church (1301 Lincoln Ave S, Owatonna).
