Roger Dale Tomasich, Jr., 52, of Kiln, passed away on January 10, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Pass Christian, MS. Roger was born on March 12, 1973, in Picayune, MS., to his parents, Roger and Kathy (Netto) Tomasich, Sr. Roger was a mechanic by trade and always found joy in tinkering on cars. He was known for being an oysterman, fishing from several different boats over the years. He loved street racing and was always leaving "burn out" marks on the roads. Roger was kind and had the biggest heart, always willing to help anyone in need, and would gladly give the shirt from his back if that meant helping someone else. Roger loved the mystery and legends behind Big Foot and Dog Man, something he loved sharing with his grandchildren. Roger's daughter Chasiety and his grandchildren were the light of his world and always brought his life the most joy. Roger will be immensely missed by all the lives he touched day in and day out. Roger is preceded in death by, his daddy, Roger Dale Tomasich, Sr., and bonus mom, Bettye Joyce Green; one sister, Starr Tomasich; his grandparents, Warren Tomasich and Zelma Bennett, and Ernest and Lula Mae Netto. Left to cherish his memory, his one and only daughter, Chasiety Gros; two grandchildren, Sebastian and Samuel Gros; his mother, Kathy Woolhiser; his sister, Dedra LaShawn (Al) Wilson; his bonus siblings, Lamar (Shondail) Frederick, Jr, Theresa Moran, Lillian (Bert) Rester, Lila (Vincent) Necaise, and Lisa Ladner; his nieces, Karlie and Harlie Tomasich, Kasey (Jeremy) Kitchens, and Kallie Ladner; and one nephew, Al Wilson II. "To my friends, Craig Deschamp, Damien Cuevas, Nicolas Cuevas, Tracy Hickman, and Curt and Daphne Paige, this is not goodbye, but I'll see you later. Till we meet again." The family would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Louis Ellis for taking care of Roger over the past few years. Roger leaves a legacy of numerous extended family and friends, whom he loved very much. Services for Roger will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Dedeaux, beginning at 10:00 am for a Visitation and 11:00 am for Funeral Mass. Roger will be laid to rest at Standard Sandhill Cemetery directly following his services.
In lieu of flowers, the family and friends ask that you consider making donations directly to Trinity, to help Chasiety with Roger's final expenses.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Tomasich family, and we ask that you remember Chasiety and the rest of the Roger's family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
