It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Fred Touchstone, known to all as “Dobber,” who went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2025 at 47 years old. A devoted husband, brother, son, father, and friend, Dobber’s life was defined by his love for his family and friends, and his passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and Peterbilt Trucks.
Born on May 20, 1978 in Hattiesburg, Dobber was a true master of his craft. While his specialty was the delicate precision of finish work with a dozer, his talent wasn't limited; he possessed a rare and intuitive feel for any piece of heavy equipment placed before him. He handled every machine with an almost innate grace and skill, a gift that earned him deep respect in his field.
Dobber was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Touchstone, his mother, Charlene Touchstone Ratcliffe, and his loyal companion, Hershey. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Touchstone; his brother, Todd Touchstone; his sister, Bridgit Odom; his four daughters: Kayla Touchstone, Ashley Touchstone, Lauren Byrd, and Raechel Zimmerman; and his 14 grandchildren, Mary Blake, Luke, Myles, Westley, Tatum, Baylor, Maggie, Grayson, Fisher, Kace, Timothy, Carter, Avery, and Joshua.
Dobber will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
The service will be led by Brother Michael Hartfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Kye Touchstone, Jim Touchstone, Russell Graves, Scott Hathorn, Bobby Dale Stuart, and Nolan Baxter.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that you consider a memorial contribution to assist with the funeral, casket, and headstone expenses.
Donations may be made to the GoFundMe established in Roger’s name or directly to Trinity Funeral Services. Roger's wife, Jennifer, who is disabled, and his siblings and children would be deeply grateful for any assistance offered during this difficult time of loss. Your generosity will help ease the burden on the family as they navigate their grief.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Touchstone family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
