Roger Kenneth Wilson, affectionately known as "Kent," was Born on August 4, 1954 and passed away on October 11, 2025.Kent was a humble man who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved being involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren, considering them among his proudest accomplishments.
He was a hardworking individual who was proud of his role as custodial Supervisor at Oconee County Middle School. His life was marked by his commitment to both his career and his family.He is survived by his beloved wife, Lesa Wilson; children, Apryl Drake (Billy), Becky Thompson (Tommy), Brian Wilson (Whitney), Karey Kazemi (Saman), Matt Wilson (Sheri), and Kyle Wilson (Shawna); ten grandchildren, Bryce, Taylor, Dustin, Riley, Jenna, Alivia, Penelope Kate, Henry James, Kynlee, Max, Charli, Liberty, and Haddon; and three great-grandchildren, Rowan, Lydia and Elijah; siblings, including sisters Margie Freeman and Janice Minish, and brother Stanley Minish.
Kent was preceded in death by his mother, Cassie Blanche Miller Wilson Minish; father, James Dewey Wilson; and brothers Gene Minish and Odell Minish, Jr.
A visitation will be held for Roger Kenneth Wilson on October 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes in Watkinsville, Georgia. Funeral services will take place the following day, October 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM, also at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes.
