Roger A. Winkle, age 69, passed away on March 4th, 2024. Born October 16th, 1954, to the late Leadora Alice Terry (nee Winkle) in Dayton, Ohio. Brother of Diane Goodrich. Uncle to Sean Goodrich, Zachary Klefeker and Cory Goodrich. Grand-Uncle to 3 grandnieces and 7 grandnephews and Great-Grand-Uncle to a great-grandniece and a great-grandnephew.
Roger had a great interest in genealogy and family history. He spent many hours researching his family and documenting who everyone was and where they all came from for the future generations. He and Diane even started a yearly tradition of visiting their family’s graves on Memorial Day and leaving flowers. That tradition is still held up to this day.
In his younger years he was a cook and then found his way into a taxi cab and never left. He gave rides to all sorts of characters around Cincinnati and had many regulars. During his downtime he enjoyed playing historical strategy games online like Civilization and fictional revisionist history like the Fallout series.
