Roland Albert, beloved husband, father, and "Paw," passed away on November 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on September 2, 1960, Roland lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and deep devotion to those he loved most.

A true Cajun at heart, Roland was both a skilled butcher and a talented stump grinder, but his greatest craft was found behind the grill or stove. Whether he was firing up the pit for a barbecue, hosting a seafood boil, or stirring a rich sauce piquant, Roland believed the best meals were the ones shared with family and friends.

His patio was his happy place - cold Coors Light in hand, LSU or Saints game on, and a heart full of pride watching his loved ones gathered around.

His greatest joy in life came from his family. His wife was the center of his world, and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was the heart of his family - steady, loving, and always ready with a joke or a helping hand.

Roland's legacy will live on in the laughter, love, and recipes he passed down to his family and all who were lucky enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Melancon Albert; son, Cody Albert; daughter, Jaylyn Boutte (Todd); brothers, Wilbert Albert "Neg Neg" and Clesma "Cam" Albert; sisters, Sidney Mae Louviere and Clara Wiltz (Stanley); grandchildren, Brielle Blanchard (Bryce), Quinn Latiolais (Bailey), Shyla Latiolais (Adrian), Miyahnti Boutte, Cohlen Albert and Abbigail Albert; great grandchildren, Brylin Richard, Braxton Nichols, Braeleigh Richard and Ivy Latiolais.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Moise and Amynthe Albert; grandson Brylin Blanchard; siblings, Florence Albert, Ambrose Albert, Lorraine Louviere, Russell Albert, Irene Theriot, Helen Beivenu, Moise "Moe" Albert, Livia Albert and Bertan Albert

Pallbearers will be Cody Albert, Cohlen Albert, Todd Boutte, Quinn Latiolais, Bryce Richard and Adrian Valdez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Olivier "Salt", Rusty Olivier, Jordan Melancon, Mark Louviere, Jr., Josh Albert and Te'dm Olivier.
