Roland Wayne "Ron" Anschutz

Remembering Her Husband and Their Father

Through every memory and heartfelt moments, we remember our father, Roland Wayne Anschutz, 81, who passed away on October 6, 2025. He was a dedicated husband to Elberta Rose Anschutz, deceased, and a loving father to Martin Anschutz (Sandy) of Salina, KS, Richard Anschutz of Bushton, KS, Corwin Anschutz (Kitrina) of Little Elm, TX, and Laura Schwartz (Cody) of Clay Center KS. Roland was born on April 20, 1944, and was predeceased by his parents, Arthur R. and Lena M. (Cook) Anschutz, and a brother, Wayne A. and his wife, Carolyn A (Gaunt) Anschutz of Hutchinson, KS. The grandchildren left behind are Austin Anschutz, Brandon Loader, Brett Loader, Keaton Anschutz, Charlotte Anschutz, Cooper Schwartz, and Layton Schwartz. One Great Grandchild left behind is Carter Anschutz, and several nieces and nephews.

Roland was a loving, wise, and giving father who always put the needs of his family before his own. He loved hunting, fishing, and farming with his family and ingrained the importance of honesty, hard work, and make use of what you have first, to all of us. He served in the military from May, 1968 through May, 1970 receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He was one of the strongest men a person could know that braved adversity in life with ease and courage. Mom and Dad left each of us with many amazing memories, extended love, the utmost strength, and faith to carry on.

You will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Hoisington, Kansas, with Rev. Daniel Harders presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Claflin E.M.S in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington KS 67544.
