Larry Anschutz Obituary
Larry Walter Anschutz, 76, of Lampasas, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
A native of Texas, born in Austin in 1948, he was educated in art at the University of Texas and at the Dallas Art Institute. He has developed his expertise in art as a detailed portrait artist and as a display designer.
Larry was encouraged by public demand for his restful and moving pastel seascapes to become a professional artist in 1972.
His works have a style of their own. Larry's perfection of detail of various subjects is almost photographic. His unique use of mixed medias adds a quality of texture and blending of tones which place Larry among the country's finest artists.
The art of Larry Anschutz may be found throughout the United States in the finest galleries, museums and private collections.
Larry Anschutz creates works of art whose beauty makes them more than a financial investment of quality; indeed, these pleasing pieces are an investment in the quality of life.
