Anna Neill Kennedy Obituary

DALLAS – Anna Christine "Christi" Neill Kennedy, age 54, passed from this earth into new life on November 3, 2025. Christi was born in Houston, Texas, on May 3, 1971, to George and Dianne Neill. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and the South Texas College of Law in 1996. She grew up in Missouri City, Texas and graduated from Dulles High School, Class of 1989.
Christi had many loves, but first and foremost in her life was her care and concern for others. She was truly a selfless individual. Christi had a love of nature which led her to enjoy many travels to the San Juan Mountains in Colorado and daytrips to the family property in east Texas. She was passionate about cheering on the Texas Longhorns, Houston Astros, and Dallas Stars. Christi loved the ocean, spending time with friends and family in the Texas hill country, and weekends on the boat on Lake Ray Hubbard. She loved visiting her favorite Texas music venues and dancing the Texas two-step. She was also devoted to the family dog Nala, who will miss their daily walks.
Christi had a grateful appreciation for life that only those who've fought painstakingly hard battles can share. Christi and her husband worked hard to fulfill their dreams of parenthood. Christi cherished her role as a loving mother and provider for their daughter Caitlin. Christi was a genuine and true friend, and in turn, her friends loved and cared for her as well. Jason, her best friend and partner in life for twenty years, was the prime example.
Christi was a prominent employment lawyer in Dallas for nearly 30 years. She founded and managed her law firm, Neill & Byrne (later Neill Legler Cole) and had recently joined her husband's law practice. One of the highlights of her career was winning a significant employment law case in 2022 before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Despite her career success, being the best mother to Caitlin was her number one priority.
Christi made lifelong friends at the University of Texas where she was a legacy member of the Delta Gamma sorority. Other cherished friends date back to her childhood, to the days at Southminster Church, and to high school, where she performed all four years on the Dulles Dolls drill team. Christi made sure a friend was always a friend.
Christi is survived by her husband Jason Kennedy, 14-year-old daughter Caitlin Kennedy, mother Dianne Neill and father George Neill, brother Jeremy Neill and wife Tricia, nieces Bella Neill, Audrey Neill, and Carly Gonzales, and many other loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, TX, 75230, with a reception immediately following at the church.
