It is with a mix of sorrow and immense gratitude that we remember the life of Ramon R. Acosta, known affectionately to many as Raymond. Born on the 3rd of May, 1958, Ramon's life was a testament to the power of resilience, the beauty of individuality, and the enduring strength of family ties. His journey on this Earth was completed on the 7th of August, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and lessons that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ramon was a man of remarkable spirit and courage. His unwavering optimism and unique sense of humor invariably brightened the lives of those around him. A cherished brother and uncle, Ramon's love for his family was paramount and evident in every facet of his life. His vibrant personality and kind heart left a profound impact on everyone he met. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This sentiment perfectly encapsulates the essence of Ramon, who made everyone feel seen, appreciated, and loved.
Ramon is survived by his devoted siblings, Inez Thomas, Tony Acosta, Albert Acosta, Gloria Rivera, Mary Sweeney, Maria Ragland, Caroline Yruegas, and Nicolas (Charlie) Acosta. He left behind his family members who held a special place his his heart. Each of these individuals was deeply loved by Ramon, and his spirit will live on through them and in the many beautiful memories they shared.
In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Ramon's memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him, for he is now a part of each of us.
