Roland BERGER Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shadel's Colonial Chapel - Lebanon on Feb. 3, 2026.
Roland Thomas Berger, son of Russell and Gertrud Sonja (Berger) Peterson, was born July 12, 1957, in Stuttgart, Germany and departed this life February 2, 2026, at his home in Tunas, Missouri at the age of sixty-eight years.

Roland's father was retired military and raised him and his siblings in Fountain, Colorado at the base of Pikes, Peak just outside of Fort Carson. He was the oldest of his parents three children. In his older years, Roland followed in his fathers military footsteps and he joined the United States Army. Though his time in the Army was brief, it was an accomplishment he was proud of.

In the summer of 2007, Roland met his significant other, Tammi Crabtree. Together they shared nearly nineteen years of precious memories side by side while weathering this crazy thing called life. At the time they didn't know they were making memories, they just knew they were having fun.

Roland was widely known as the "Air Guitar King", there was no one better or more serious about the Air Guitar than him. Roland was said to be very intelligent, he had a way of always knowing things that most people wouldn't and if he didn't know it he would find out. He was an avid reader and enjoyed sci-fi, mystery, war and history books. He liked to ride four-wheelers and could often be found behind a grill. However, time with the children playing and laughing is what he cherished most.

Roland Leaves behind to celebrate his memory his significant other, Tammi Crabtree of Tunas, Missouri; her children, Cody Crabtree and his wife Kelsey of Lynchburg, Missouri, Holly Crabtree and her significant other Danny of Lebanon, Missouri; their children that he though of as his grandchildren, Caden, Bristol, Hunter, Rider, Carson, Emilynn and Knox; one brother, Jeffrey Peterson of Springfield, Illinois; one sister, Karol Zeornes and her husband Kerry of Tunas, Missouri; nieces, Jennifer Myres and her husband Tony, Rusti Weaver and her husband Josh all of Lebanon, Missouri and Brandy Zeornes of Fort Ritchie, Florida and Melissa Mahan and her husband Kevin of Kansas City, Kansas; several other nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends.
