Roland H. Bruggink, 95, of Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. Rollie was born April 1, 1930, in the Town of Lyndon, to the late Harold and Amy (Schreurs) Bruggink. He graduated from Random Lake High School. Rollie proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over five years. On August 23, 1969, he married the former Kathryn Meyer at Salem United Church of Christ. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2023. He was employed at Consolidated Freightways as a truck driver. Rollie served on various boards for the National Wild Turkey Foundation. He was an active member at Salem United Church of Christ, serving on the consistory and enjoyed the Monday Morning Men's Coffee Hour.

Survivors include his daughter, Wendy (Dan) Boll; his step-children, Terry (Karen) Lindow and Laurie (Randy) Gutschow; step-daughter-in-law, Deanna Lindow; grandchildren; Drew (Lara) Devine, Michelle (Brian) Haensgen, Travis (Melissa) Boll, Jenna (Kyle) Bratz, Chad (Beth) Heinen, Thomas (Kam) Lindow, Libby (Kary) Valley, Garrett (Amber) Lindow, Parker Lindow (Kara Everson), Brandon (Andrea) Gutschow; great-grandchildren, Dempsey and Keeva Devine, Karlie and Addison Haensgen, Noah, Aubree, Isaac and Caleb Boll, Jaxon and Maci Bratz, Olivia and Brynnly Heinen, Charlie and Griffin Lindow, Ben and Maggie Valley, Breeley and Isabella Gutschow; brother, Harold "Butch" (Suzi) Bruggink, Jr.; sister, Lola (Ken) Lindow and sisters-in-law, Ruth Bruggink and Alice Meyer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife, Kathryn, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Wampler; step-son, James Lindow; grandson; Craig Gutschow, siblings; Eugene (Leona) Bruggink, Richard (Eileen) Bruggink, Doris (Ralph) DeMaster, Allen Bruggink, Wayne (Carol) Bruggink, Beverly (Butch) Winninghoff; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Meyer, Jr., Kenneth Meyer, LeRoy Meyer, Irene (John) Brickbauer, Evelyn (John) Passini, Mary Lou (Joe) Lazarewicz, and Gene (Carol) Meyer.

In accordance with Rollie's wishes, private family services will be held.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their care and concern during these past few weeks. They would also like to thank Rollie's wonderful neighbors who treated him like family.
