Luther Roland Mason April 24, 1941-January 11, 2025 Luther Roland Mason, a native of Choctaw County, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama for the last sixty years, died Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the age of 83. He was a longtime member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. He worked at Scott Paper Company and Kimberly Clark for forty-four years. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Sarah Mason. He is survived by his daughters Pam Kibby (Lesley) and Terri Hilyer (Chase); son Chad Mason; granddaughter Hannah Kibby; sister Alice Barber; brothers Roy Mason and Ray Mason (Tereasa); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Robertsdale Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center and St. Joseph Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care of our dad. The family also notes special appreciation for Brother Ronnie McCarson and his wife Cindy for not only being great neighbors to our dad but wonderful, caring friends. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with graveside services to follow.
