Roland Tekell Obituary
Roland Nip Tekell, 81, born in Lubbock Texas passed away in Nashville, TN where he lived since 1979. Roland passed away on September 14, 2025, surrounded by his family. He is survived by wife, Norma Mott Tekell, daughter Kye Gibson, son in law Randy Gibson, grandsons, Griffin Gibson (Lauren) and Nathan Gibson (Miranda) and predeceased by son Thaddeaus Tekell.
Since retirement he was beekeeper who also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and weekly bible study. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and church.
Memorial service will be held on October 4, 2025, 3:30PM at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, Nashville, TN. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Wattie Rodriques Fund at Hillcrest UMC 5112 Raywood Lane, Nashville, TN 37211.
