Rollen Smith, 87, of Tyronza, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on September 12, 1937, in Florence, Alabama to Ott and Susie Terry Smith. Rollen was a retired minister and a member of The Upper Room Apostolic Church in Tyronza. He was a retired farmer and the best local gardener. He planted corn for the town and each year he would plant cotton at Southern Tenant Farmers Museum.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, four sisters, 2 grandsons, one granddaughter and one daughter-in-law.
Rollen is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years: Robbie Woods Smith of the home, three children: Tommy Smith and wife Connie, Jonell Ballard and husband Terry, and Jerry Smith and wife Cindy, one brother: Junior Smith, seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and two adopted grandchildren.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at The Upper Room Apostolic Church in Tyronza. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at The Upper Room Apostolic Church in Tyronza.
Interment will follow service at Tyronza Cemetery, Tyronza, Arkansas.
Pastor Dewayne Johnson and Pastor Daniel Nooner will be officiating the service.
Rollen loved the Lord and enjoyed life to the fullest. He leaves behind a legacy of family and love. He will be deeply missed.
