Rollin LeRoy Eberhardt

September 6, 1959 – November 9, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Rollin LeRoy Eberhardt, age 66, on November 9th, 2025. Rollin passed away from injuries suffered in an auto accident near Hillsboro, ND.

Born on September 6, 1959, in McVille, ND to Ernest and Verlan Eberhardt, Rollin grew up with a passion for the land and a deep love of family. Throughout his life, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm and was never afraid to tackle any obstacle that stood in his way. He was baptized and confirmed at Ottawa Lutheran Church and attended Sharon and Aneta Public Schools. He always had a love for animals and nature and began ranching at a young age. Rollin soon found a job at American Crystal Sugar as a Mechanic in Hillsboro. There he met and married the love of his life, Lynette Jacobson, and they moved to a farmstead out near Hillsboro. Together they have three children—Kayla, Natassaja, and Kollin. He used his knowledge in mechanics and began working at SRS Commodities in Mayville until he retired.

Rollin was a man who loved the simple joys in life—farming, fishing, hunting, singing, and dancing. He enjoyed watching sports, in particular the Vikings and Twins, and playing them—especially Tuesday darts. Rollin had a zest for life that was contagious. His warm spirit and love for adventure made him a beloved presence to all who knew him. Whether it was spending a day at the farm or simply telling stories around the dinner table, Rollin lived each day with joy and gratitude. His laughter was infectious, and he had a natural ability to bring people together. But above all, Rollin loved his family, with all his heart, and he took immense pride in being a father.

He is survived by his wife Lynette Eberhardt, Hillsboro. Children Kayla(Nick) Bowman, Cape Coral FL, Natassaja Eberhardt, Dilworth, and Kollin Eberhardt, Hillsboro. Grandson Niko Bowman, Cape Coral FL. Sisters Arlys(Craig) Bye, Mayville, Linda(Calvin) Sorenson, Juniata Neb., and Jadine Higdem, Portland. Brothers Miles(Pam) Eberhardt, Buxton, and Marvin(Tasha) Eberhardt, Aneta. Brother-in-law Bruce(Kim) Jacobson, Mayville. Sister-in-law LouAnn(Devin) Lusso. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Verlan, brother Dallas, brother-in-law Allen, grandparents Murel and Alta Hoggarth and Otto and Annie Eberhardt, father-in-law Gary Jacobson, and mother-in-law Bonnie Jacobson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 18th at 11:00 am at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, ND. Visitation will be Monday, November 17th from 5-7 pm at Baker Funeral Home in Mayville, ND and will continue at the church one hour before the funeral service. Interment will be at 2:30 pm at the Ottawa Cemetery in rural Aneta, ND.

Rollin is deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Rest in peace, Rollin—you will always be loved.
