Rollin Eivins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ewing Funeral Home - Clarion from Nov. 8 to Nov. 9, 2022.
Rollin Eivins, 55, of Kanawha, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Memorial services for Rollie Eivins will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday at the Funeral Home.

Rollin Ira Eivins, born July 25, 1967 in Story City, Iowa, lived as loving a son of Fredric and Ramona Eivins, a devoted husband to Misty, his 'Peanut', and an inspirational father to his two daughters, his 'Bubba Jo' and 'Peanut Little". As a smiley young boy, Rollie moved around in Central Iowa with his parents and 5 brothers, the beloved and somewhat notorious neighborhood crew. After attending school in Clarion, Iowa, Rollie was a welder with various companies before working at Eaton in Belmond for a little over 15 years. In 2005, Rollie blew into the wind industry, where he enjoyed working in Blairsburg and diligently climbed the ladder to site supervisor. He took a short break from wind and joined Iowa Specialty Hospital as maintenance where he enjoyed the staff, residents, and patients. In 2016, Rollie returned to Century Wind Farms.

In November of 1987, Rollie stepped into a 4Suns Convenience store and met Misty Ludens. After getting engaged in February, they were delighted to be married on June 18th, 1988 at the Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Iowa.

The couple raised their daughters on their acreage outside of Kanawha. Rollie took great pride in having a place where his daughters and grandchildren loved to come home to.

Papa Rollie loved spending quality time with his four favorite grandsons and their families while swimming in the summertime, going on safaris, throwing rocks, and breaking all of Grammy's rules. Rollie loved playing his guitar, video games, and music on all of his stereos. Over the years, Rollie found, re-built, or fixed many toys, most of them involving driving, including his Goldwing 'Ginger' and his Audi convertible, 'Rose'.

He will be remembered every day by his memorable 'Dadisms'. "There are worse things in life than making people laugh."

Rollie is survived by his wife of 34 years, Misty Eivins of Kanawha; his daughter Ambere Niles, her husband Andrew, and their three sons Axel, Adam, and Arlo of Gilmore City; his daughter Kate Happel, her husband Jon, and her son Gabe of Clear Lake; his parents Fred and Mona Eivins; brothers Mike, Dave, Matt and Jeff and all their families, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Daniel and Steven and his grandparents.
