Romane "Minnie" (Lezzelle) Petkewich, 90
1935 - 2025
Lynn - Romane "Minnie" (Lezzelle) Petkewich, 90, lifelong Lynn resident, died Monday August 11, 2025 after a brief illness. Daughter of the late Michael and Angelina (Salzano) Lezzelle, she was the beloved wife of the late Robert Petkewich.
Minnie was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School Class of 1952. She worked for the Telephone Company and Goldberg's Furniture in Lynn for several years, and then worked in Administration at Union Hospital in Lynn for 30 years. She was a longtime board member and membership chair of the Shoe City Lions Club in Lynn. She was honored hy her club for her many years of service with the Melvin Jones Award, the highest award given in the Lions Club.
Minnie was an avid reader and member of a book club for many years. She loved dogs especially her grand dog Danner. She loved spending time with family and friends, boating and watching sunsets on Sluice Pond. She was a proud honorary Nana to Tommy Clarke and Niki Jagodowski.
Minnie is survived by her niece Lisa Clarke and her husband Thomas of Peabody, grand nephew Thomas Clarke and his wife Erin of Beverly and their children, grand niece Nicole Jagodowski and her husband Christopher of Boxford and their children, brother-in-law Thomas Keaney of Lynn, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members of the Petkewich and Lavorante families. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, her son Michael Petkewich and her sister Annette Keaney.
Service Information: Visitation for Minnie will be held from 4-7PM on Friday August 15, 2025 at SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME 426 Broadway (Rt129) Lynn. Funeral will be held on Saturday August 16 at 10AM from the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 11am at St Pius V Church Lynn, and burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
