Ron Brunner

Ronald "Ron" Brunner, 88, Maribel, passed away after a short hospital stay on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

He was born April 13, 1937, to the late Arthur and Julia (Du Pont) Brunner.

On October 14, 1972, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Liebert.

Ron worked for James River in the mail room for many years. He enjoyed preserving the history of Quilted Northern Paper Mills product line and later received a plaque thanking him for all his dedication.

A true outdoors enthusiast, Ron enjoyed planting and grafting trees, tending to his garden, making wine and caramels, and especially his delicious chicken booyah. Ron was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Morrison.

Ron is survived by his children Kyle (Jaime) Brunner, Mark (Amy) Brunner, Alissa (Kevin) Goluch, and Beth (Tracy) Kroll. His grandchildren; Danica and Nevaeh Goluch, Josh, John, Julia Brunner, Alyssa (Drew) Plouff, and great granddaughter Ava Plouff. Ron is further survived by his sister-in-law Sandy Liebert and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, grandson Malachi Goluch, his siblings Melvin (Donna), Darrell, Blossom (Ken) Bierke, Sharon (Ralph) Lyons, and brother-in-law Steve Liebert.

Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church 7395 Cty Rd W, Greenleaf (Morrison) from 9:00AM – 10:45AM. Service will take place at 11:00AM with Pastor James Enderle officiating. Nickel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
