Ron Fangman

Ronald D. Fangman, 76, of Waterloo formerly of Dyersville passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm Monday, August, 8, 2022, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 9 – 10 at the funeral home prior to funeral services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Rev. Gabriel Mensh will officiate, with burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ronald was born July 8, 1946 in Dyersville, Iowa the son of Hubert "Hub" and Mildred (Steger) Fangman. Ron married the love of his life Sandy Ewing on June 7, 1969. Ron worked at the family business Hub's Motor Service until their closing and then continued a career in small engine work until his retirement in 2011. Ron's greatest joy was spending time with his kids and granddaughters. He was a simple man and always had a smile on his face.
Survivors include his children Ronnie (Jin Tassler) Fangman of Colorado Springs, CO and Rhonda (Kerry Elliott) Fangman of Waterloo, two granddaughters, Moon Fangman of Ewa Beach, HI, Sydney Fangman of Waterloo, brothers, Gib (Carolyn) Fangman of Earlville and Vern (Geri) Fangman of Dyersville.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sandy, and his brother Melvin Fangman.
