Ron D. Humphrey, 64, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2013 at home. He was born in Massillon on January 1, 1949 to the late Cliff & Betty (Taylor) Humphrey. Ron was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1967 and was employed by Slesnick Recycling part time. He was a loyal friend, dedicated family man, and a loving PAPA. He would give someone the shirt off his back if asked. Ron was passionate about Penn State, Massillon Tiger Football and his yard. He loved all God's creatures, mostly his best bud Scooby. Ron is survived by, his daughter, Wendy( Doug) Nolen , son, Ronnie ( LeaAnn) Humphrey both of Massillon, six grandchildren, Dustin, Taylor and Devyn Nolen, Ronnie, Anthony and Ashley Humphrey, one great-granddaughter, Harlee , two brothers, Cliff Humphrey, Jr, and Rich Humphrey, three sisters, Shirley Callahan, Diane Schmit, and Joan Humphrey and numerous nephews and nieces. Friends may call at the Paquelet & Arnold- Lynch Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 4:00 PM – 7:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00PM, Pastor Greg Laudermilt, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Akron Children's Hospital. Wendy, Ronnie and your families, my heart completely breaks for you guys. I'm so very sorry. Got to know him over the past couple years, and so glad I did. He was an absolute incredible man. Always made me smile when I'd see him. He will be truly missed. I'm so so sorry.
