Ron Kerbo, left this world peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family (and favorite nurse Becca) at Senior Advantage in Winchester.
Ron was born on November 20, 1964, in Fayetteville, Tennessee to Glennis Koonce (Robert) and Lawrence Kerbo. He grew up in Fayetteville, surrounded by family, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for his community, church, and family. After graduating from Lincoln County High School, he pursued a career as an IT specialist at Redstone Arsenal, to which he devoted himself to for 35 years.
A loving husband of 37 years to Terri Kerbo, Ron was a pillar of strength, loving support, and a Christian leader to his family. Together, they raised two children, Emily Kerbo and Brannen Kerbo. He was a devoted father, always offering gentle guidance, a profound amount of love, and a laugh that will last a lifetime. More than anything, he cherished his family and the life they built through prayer, hard work, and dedication.
Ron had many passions in life including every sporting event Emily or Brannen signed up for, Braves Baseball, Tennessee Football, Predators Hockey, and his church family. He also found great pleasure in aggravating those closest to him, especially his family. Ron was known for his generosity, trustworthiness, and his ability to lead with grace and compassion.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Glennis Koonce; father, Lawrence Kerbo; stepfather, Robert Koonce; and a sister, Renee Monks. Ron is survived by his wife, Terri; their children, Emily Kerbo, and Brannen (Mallory) Kerbo; and his three grandchildren, Josie Bennett, Ronald James "RJ" Kerbo, and arriving soon, John Brannen "JB" Kerbo. Additional survivors include his siblings, Kathy (Rich) Miller, Kevin (Susan) Kerbo, and Britt Kerbo, as well as many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ron Kerbo will be held at 10 AM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home with JB Cox, and Brian McCutcheon officiating. Burial will follow at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association (225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601) in Ron's memory.
