Ron Lenker

Ron Lenker passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025.

Born on September 12, 1948, Ron was a proud 12th-generation Pennsylvanian. Raised in Orwin, he developed a lifelong love for the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing. A longtime member of the Orwin Gun Club, he enjoyed decades of trap shooting, creating memories and enduring friendships along the way.

Ron was a skilled craftsman. He could build anything and loved working with his hands. He had a special talent for reloading ammo, tying flies, and making the most delicious fudge ever. "Captain Ron" loved boating and spent many summers on the water in the Thousand Islands with family and friends. In retirement, he and his wife embarked on a grand adventure, visiting all 50 states together. One of his favorite places to cast a line became the Madison River in Yellowstone National Park.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara; three children, Rick, Randy, and Barbie (Steve); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Isabelle Lenker, and his brother, Ken.

Ron was truly everyone's friend. With his laid-back spirit and gentle kindness, he made everyone feel at ease. He possessed a rare gift for striking up a meaningful conversation with anyone he met.

In his memory, enjoy a drink of your choice, spend time in the outdoors, cheer on the Cowboys, or best of all - take the day off and go fishing.
