Ronald Anglin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Criswell Funeral Home - Ada on Dec. 10, 2025.
Services for Ronald "Ronnie" Joe Anglin, 79, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; Anthony Utter will officiate. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery.

Ronnie passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, with his daughter Sonya and grandson Anthony by his side. He was on vacation visiting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ronnie was born in Ada, OK, where he lived most of his life. He was the son of Herbert and Tommy Pinson Anglin. He graduated from Ada High School and later attended Seminole Community College. Throughout his life, he worked as a driller in the oil fields, a mechanic at a local gas station, and at Hitch in Ada. He enlisted in the United States Army on November 29, 1963, and proudly served, earning the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Pistol qualification, and Sharpshooter recognition.

Ronnie married Louise, welcoming their daughters Kelley, Sonya, and Charla into the Anglin family. He became a widower on November 27, 1987.

In 1981, he bought his first Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Every year, he and Louise would leave on July 5th for Padre Island, where they stayed on the beach and visited family and friends. In 1988, he attended his first of many Sturgis Motorcycle Rallies in South Dakota, often sleeping at his favorite rest stops. On his way home, he would stop in Nebraska to visit Sonya and the grandchildren. Ronnie always made sure to call his sister, Becky, whom he loved and appreciated dearly.

He enjoyed spending time with family, watching old Westerns, attending swap meets and car shows, and working on guns. A true gearhead, he worked on his bike for 44 years. He was always willing to help others and was known as a good, lighthearted man. He loved his two dogs, Lil Bit and Lil Man. Every Sunday, he visited his nephew Justin and granddaughter Meagan at McCall's Chapel in Ada, OK. Ronnie received Jesus Christ as his Savior and read his Bible daily. His family is blessed to have had such a strong, loving, caring, and moral man leading them.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father Herbert, mother Tommy, brother Bobby, and the loves of his life, Louise and Shelia.

He is survived by his sister Becky; nephews BJ and Justin; niece Katie; daughters Kelley, Sonya, and Charla; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
