Ronald Alan "Ron" Armstrong

Ronald "Ron" Alan Armstrong, 78, lost his battle with cancer in his NLR home, holding the hand of his wife of 44 years, on August 26, 2025. He was born on November 4, 1946 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Colonel George Valentine Armstrong and Mattie Glass Armstrong of Farmerville, LA.
Ron is survived by his wife, Paula Fielding Armstrong, his three children, Wellena Mae Seamon, Andrue Alan Armstrong, and Kimberly Dawn Armstrong. Also by his three grandchildren, Cierra Dawn Wise, Amelia Raye Seamon, and Tori Leigh Seamon. As well as by his aunt Novice Taylor, his cousin Marsha Holland, and his mother-by-love Claudette Crossno.
Ron was a wild child in his youth. Partying in New Orleans, outrunning the cops in his classic Cutlass convertible in Georgia, and playing rock and roll with his band Unabridged.
Ron was a prankster. He always had a joke on the ready, and if you came to the house to trick-or-treat you'd better been ready for a scare.
He was a Mr.-Fix-It. An "I'll do it myself" kinda guy. He was also a procrastinator.
When Ron wasn't running his furniture store he liked to get jobs ushering at hockey games so he could watch for free. And when he got home he wanted to know why all the damn lights were on.
Ron served his country as an Air National Guard Combat Medic. He loved his family, anything with fur (but especially his kitty cats), his beautiful backyard, rock and roll, the New Orleans Saints, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Dallas Stars, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and chocolate. DAAAARK CHOCOLATE.
A Celebration of Life will be held at A Natural State Funeral Home at 2620 W Main Street, Jacksonville, AR on Friday September 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm. All are welcome.
In lieu of floral arrangements, the family asks that you make a donation in Ron's name to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
