Ronald F. August, Sr. long time resident of pennsauken, NJ died July 22, 2025. He was 87 and predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Regina "Jean" (nee Wahl). Loving father of Linda Meade (Michael) of Marlton, NJ; Ronald August, Jr. (Mary Kay) of Hainesport, NJ; Thomas August (Mam) of Fort Worth, TX. and Daniel August (Nora) of Levittown, PA. Devoted grandfather of Michael, Melissa, Melanie, Matthew, Michelle, Ronald III, Ryan, Daniel, Jr. and Mitchell and Grant. Devoted great-grandfather of 10. Brother of Robert August (Alishia) and Edward August (Cathy) and the late Florence Steinert, Richard and Dolores.
Ron was born in Camden, NJ and graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1955. He married Jean, his highschool sweetheart whom he met when they both worked at Acme Market, and embarked on a lifelong career in the engineering industry. He was a passionate sports fan and in his later years spent many hours watching old movies. He fancied himself a singer- he loved show tunes and would often break into a song. He spent his final years at Cardinal Village Assisted Living and after the loss of his beloved Jean, he found companionship with Joanne Dean, a fellow resident.
Relatives and friends will gather Thursday July 31 from 10 to 10:45am in Christ Our Light Church, 402 N. Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 11am. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
