Ronald Bacon of Voorhees, NJ died September 17, 2025.

Ronald L. Bacon (Ron) was born September 28, 1949 in Savanah, GA. to the late Arthur L. Bacon and Juanita Perry Bacon. He was the second oldest of six children and was a loving and faithful husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, colleague, neighbor, and friend. Ron departed this life on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

After graduating high school, Ron attended Hampton University where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management and met the love of his life, Brenda Hairston. Ron and Brenda were married on August 19, 1972 and settled in New Jersey where they began building their careers and their family.

Ron started his career in banking in Philadelphia National Bank/Core States Bank in 1971 and retired from banking in 2013 from Commerce/TD Bank as SeniorVice President and over 40 years of management and credit expertise in Banking, in areas of Community banking, Regional banking, Specialized Lending and International Trade Finance. Ron also earned a Certificate in Graduate Studies at Williams College graduate School of Credit and Financial Management. Ronald is known and respected as a pioneer in the Asset Based Lending industry. He is a former Director of the Commercial Finance Association Trade Organization. In retirement, Ron continued using his talent and skills developing and implementing business ventures focused on real-estate and investing.

Ronald also spent time advancing his philanthropic goals as President of Delta Epsilon Boule (a member Boule of the national fraternity Sigma Pi Phi), as a Director of the Delta Epsilon Foundation and ex-offico member of the Foundation's Executive Committee. He always endeavored to motivate and mentor youth to attain their educational and career aspirations. Ron spent his leisure time with friends, family and associates playing golf and enjoyed welcoming the family to Bethany Beach each summer.

Ron and Brenda were blessed with two children, son, Kevin and daughter, Jessica. Ron had a passion for nurturing and sharing his knowledge with his children, his family and others. He had a special gift of making everyone he met feel at home, giving them a hearty hello; whether in the grocery store, bank, cleaners, or doctor's office. It seemed as if he never met anyone he didn't know by the way he greeted them.

Ron enjoyed the countless hours he spent teaching, encouraging, challenging, and mentoring youth in his family and form the community. He could always be counted on to provide guidance, motivation, and support that often came with a mini-lesson or a loving lecture. Ron, in partnership with his wife, Brenda opened their hearts, their home, and their pockets not only to family and loved ones, but also to colleagues, neighbors, friends and those in need.

Ron lived a life guided by the principles of honestly, integrity, love of family, and giving back. His favorite quote was "Your life is not defined by what you do for yourself...Life is defined by what do for others."

Ron is pre-deceased by his mother, Juanita Bacon, father; Arthur Bacon, brothers; Anthony Bacon, Herman Bacon, and Arthur Bacon Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy; his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Bacon, son; Kevin Bacon (Vanessa), daughter; Jessica Bacon-Defieber, sister; Patricia Braxton, brother; Richard Bacon, grandsons; Kevin Bacon Jr., and Kayden Bacon, granddaughters; Clementine Bacon-Defieber, and Ophelia Bacon-Defieber, sister-in-law; Rev. I had the honor and privilege to work for and with Ron for many years at CoreStates and there was no one finer, he was the consummate professional and gentleman. The conversations we had over the years about life, family and what was really important will stay with me forever. My condolences to his family and friends for taking one of the really good ones too you, you are all in my prayers.

Brenda (and Family),
May the Lord, the source of all consolation be a comfort to you in your loss. George and I saw Ron at the Voorhees post office several weeks ago. We had an usually lengthy conversation about shared experiences with our Genesis cars, children, grandchildren and even our days in Jack and Jill. We will remember the thankfulness he expressed about recovering from recent illness and how grateful he was to you. May you sense the caring and love from every prayer sent up for you during this difficult time. We may not see you often, but please know we have you close at heart.
Brenda, you are a beautiful person that God will surely keep in His care
With Sympathy and Prayers, Ruby and George Peters
