BERGMAN, Ronald Wiliam, age 78 of West Liberty, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Ohio State Medical Center. He was born on March 1, 1946 to Vernon William and Norma Jean (Troupe) Bergman in Sidney, Ohio. In addition to his father, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Wayne Bergman. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Sharon (Davis) Bergman; mother, Norma; daughters: Beth Ann (Neil) King, Amy (Jim) Burkhart, Jeanne (Todd) Mercer; grandchildren: Abigail Burkhart, Ryley (Ryan) Bushong, Morgan King, Kadyn (Michael) Pickett, Andrew (Janet) Burkhart, Brennan King, Kinzie (Jake) Gardner, and Kelli (Daniel) Larsen; great-grandchildren: Bryson, Kamrin, Karmin, Khloe and Baby Alyson due in October. Ron was a man of many talents including being a skilled carpenter, a livestock and grain farmer and a longtime machinist for LeROI International and Monarch Lathes. Ron was a devoted man in his faith as a Jehovah's Witness and protector and provider to his family. He always had a great sense of humor even when his daughters objected to some of his "Ronnie's Rules." Ron will be sadly missed by all that knew him. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a celebration of his life beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana.
