Mr. Ronald C. Blalock

Mr. Ronald Calvin Blalock, age 90, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Advent Health Redmond.
Mr. Blalock was born January 17, 1934, in Broomtown, AL, son of the late Francis Calvin Blalock and Lula Don Hartline Blalock. He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with General Electric. Mr. Blalock had served in many roles at Wayside Baptist Church including Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendant, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Building Committee. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Katherine Vernon, Nell Dood; brothers, Hugh Blalock and Bobby Blalock.
Survivors include his wife, Eleise Bramlett Blalock; daughters, Sharon (Sammy) Padgett, Melissa (Allen) Cummings, Scarlet (Jared) Makohon; brothers, Benjamin Blalock, Sammy Harold Blalock; grandchildren, April Padgett, Chris Padgett, Shawn Cummings, Michelle Young, Amanda Hughes, Heaven Broome, Anslei Broome, Shade Patterson, Stormie Johnson, and Jace Makahon; great-grandchildren, Timothy Chitwood, McKenzy Chitwood, Bethany Chitwood, and Blakely Padgett; special caregivers, Tina Cordle, Tracey Spraggins, and Pat Roberson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 23, 2024, from the Wayside Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Smith and Rev. Mike Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Clark, Justin Howell, Jason Blalock, Andy Tidmore, and Greg Blalock.
Mr. Blalock will be in state at Wayside Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Friday.
